I'd also add the Test of Time as a fourth to Rank's list: multi-generational impact separates the Mckenzie's from the Keats's of the artisic pantheon. That test, even more so than the spiritual why, is where influencer culture really fails to qualify as art, existing as it does in present-tense engagement and parasocial fantasy.
It's such an interesting question, because we instinctually recoil at the idea but then we go back to postmodernism: what definition of anything is really more "right" than another?
